The AHSCP is committed to ensuring that CPHS maintain a level of knowledge that is current and relevant within and across the hydrographic surveying profession. This is achieved by linking certification with Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which is administered by the AHS and the S+SNZ CPD Committees respectively. Initial certification is valid for one (1) year after being conferred, i.e. there is no CPD requirement during the first year of certification. Subsequently, in order to retain certification, a CPHS must be either a current AHS Professional Member or a current member of the S+SNZ, and maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with the AHSCP Guidelines and adhere to the respective organisations’ Code of Ethics. CPHS are required to demonstrate and report CPD on an annual basis in accordance with their respective organisation’s policy. | ![]() |
